sustainable innovation Foundation Course

Regardless of your experience or role, this course is an accessible introduction to the theory and practical methods behind sustainable innovation – innovation that is guided by customer value and sustainable outcomes. These are career defining skills designed to be used by leaders and initiative takers in established organisations with collaborative teams to craete lasting value. A sustainable innovation practice is not only for start-ups and scientists, sustainable innovation is for everybody.

The course learning journey:

• From scattered ideas to a clear innovation method: learn the innovation framework and the innovation cycle to move from open opportunity to verified sustainable value.
  
• Embed sustainability from the outset: learn how to assess sustainability considerations early and maintain their influence as ideas are developed, refined and tested.
  
• From organisation-first thinking to customer-value first: learn to empathise and define the real need, and value that is worth people’s and organisation’s time and investment.
  
• Take a more strategic view of innovation capability: use innovation maturity framework to improve outcomes, strengthen practice and create greater value over time.
  
• From no good ideas to creative habit flow: master your mind, get into flow, build creative habits to become a source of quality ideas, and utilise Ai to augment and grow quality innovation output.   

Outcomes include: gain the frameworks, processes and practice to become a sustainable innovation leader, gain first hand experience of innovation methods in action, learn to embed and focus on the important elements. Learning is expanded and strengthened in a supportive peer learning cohort.

8 Week Course – 3 hours per week, $1050 + GST per person.

Courses run twice a year – beginning in May and September or as agreed for an orgnisational cohort.
